Regina Rams 3 GAME Forfeit Fiasco on Academically Ineligible student causes fear in USports Head Coaches, like University of Calgary Dinos going to have to be more careful that they bring in good students, not guys who barely make the grade

The University Of Regina will fully cooperate with U SPORTS as they review the situation. Additionally, they are launching an internal review of our student-athlete intake processes in order to minimize the risk of this happening again.

The review will look into how students are selected for the team, and make recommendations on how the process can be improved in the future. U SPORTS may also levy sanctions against the team after the review.

University of Regina launched an internal review after they were forced to forfeit three football games this season because of an ineligible player.

The player played in all five of the team's regular season games in 2018. The Regina Rams submitted the eligibility issue to USports.

University says it was ACADEMIC INELIGIBILITY. Rams refused to give any more details.

Grades
this is probably why fewer players have been "signed" so far this year, waiting to see high schoolers marks after Fall Semester, forfeiting games to to bad student marks seems like poor planning for a head coach
the most offered players in the Province seemed to be Bagnah from LCI who went to Boise State
and RB Jaxon Hume of Harry Ainlay Titans out there with offers from SMU, U of A, Sask Huskies, Carleton, U of C, Manitoba
too small for any other interest
