Man it got quiet around here as soon as Cambridge came up with actual game scores. All the Elmer Fudds must be out huntin’ wabbits.

2007 to 2013 the Sault beat Cambridge every time they played.  Including twice in the playoffs during that time.  It's free for all to see on the Internet "wayback machine".

There were a couple 40+ point thrashings in there as well.  1 of those victories was a PLAYOFF forfeit by Cambridge who knew they would lose so refused to make the trip to the Sault.

Someone already posted the 2013 score is Elmer. Cambridge won. Try to follow along.

More likely it is quiet while people look for the OFA registratiosn for those Cambridge teams to make sure they were supposed to play....might take a while  Angry

Those Soo wins are likely as imaginary as is a future for their kids that doesnt involve EI or welfare.

Ummm no feces for brains.

This is the original post:

“Over the past 10 years, in head to head games, the Sault has beaten the Cambridge Lions more than Cambridge has beaten the Sault.  The Sault beat Cambridge by over 50 points in 2011.  Cambridge forfeited their playoff game against the Sault the year before that because they knew they were going to beat bad.”

So let me walk you through it. Original Soo big mouth went off about last 10 years Soo teams won more games than Cambridge did. This is 2018. Even someone in the Soo with a full set of frostbite free fingers and toes can to count to 10. 10 years from 2018 genius gets you to 2009. 2016 was last year Soo played in OV. 2013 through 2016 Cambridge never lost to Soo. 5 games. At least 6 counting JV, and having kids that played, its closer to 10. Slaughtered the Soo in fact. They listed 4 games from 2010 to 2012. No mention of 2009. 5 is a bigger number than 4. Don’t believe me? Put down the Wildcat or Steeler and go ask your two year old big guy.

The last 10 years they played each other genius.  Why would we count years that they weren't even in the same league?   2006 to 2016 The Sault has a winning record against Cambridge.  Facts are facts.  When you disregard facts, you look like an even bigger clown.

I'm not even from the Sault, but I have coached in the OVFL and OPFL for a very long time.  The Sault had a very long run of strong teams prior to 2013.  When you hurl insults and stereotypes about people from the North in your posts, it makes you look even more ignorant.

Oooo. A OV/Op coach “TM”.

“Over the past 10 years” is what was written. But hey, let’s make excuses and move the goal posts. Why dont we count years when guys played in leather helmets too? I actually found the 2009 score. Soo won 13-10. Happy to do the work for them. So if its just senior, its 5/5. Still not “more” based on what the premise was.

Listen, I have no dog in this fight.  Like I said, I'm not even from SSM.  Not sure why you're getting so worked up about this.  You went off saying Cambridge always beats SSM and I simply pointed out that isn't true.  Cambridge is an excellent program and they've been very strong the past few years, yes stronger than SSM recently.

But, you should understand that the Cambridge Lions draw from the entire KW, Cambridge and even Guelph area (approximately 20 high schools) while SSM draws from maybe 4 high schools?  When you consider that, Cambridge SHOULD beat SSM all the time.  The fact that SSM has played them tough, and even blown them out in the past proves that they have good football players SSM.  They usually show well at ofsaa.

Just to complete this statement - Cambridge may be in close proximity to KW and Guelph and have the potential to draw from those cities, keep in mind those cities have their own football programs with the Predators and Gryphons therefore the talent is spread around.

Everybody from the KW and Cambridge area knows that over 90% of the top players in the area play for the Cambridge Lions.  That has been the case for the past 7 or 8 years now.

Oh really, so does that mean we are not going to have to put up with your crazy Parents screaming how incredible, how special, what a powerhouse Cambridge is and how they will pound everyone? Well that is until the day they get eliminated and then comes the 2 Months of excuses.

So no more of that? Hmmm, wouldn't that be nice for once.

Exaggerate much? The parents were just going around 'Screaming' these things? I think someone needs some psychiatric help, because they obviously have a complex.

Where are you from so I can paint all of your organization with the same brush.
I can come up with a generalization for every city.

Still the case. Only the mediocre preds say this lol. Cambridge gets 80-100 kids out and preds get 35-40
Plus the coaching is poor in preds. Their success last year was because Guelph varsity folded.

hey Ha! the joke is on you.  The Varsity Preds coaching staff is better than the Lions staff and they actually retain players and have players that like to play for them.  Just because the Lions have a few mediocre young Laurier Coaches doesn't make them a great coaching staff.  The majority of the kids over the past 3 seasons can not stand the coaches, which is why they can not keep the majority of their players for multiple years.

Since winning the OVFL Championship, the Senior Lions have been on a decline. While Predators are on the rise. I choose Preds

Lions have not had 80+ kids out at any level for at least 2 years.
There was only a single team at each B/JV/SV level last year

Okay so if the lions coaches are worse lets look at some stats.

Stats Past 3 years (since Cambridge coaches have been there)
- 1 championship
- 43 athletes Usports (2 ncaa in there)
2 rookies of the year for their respective team (Mac,laurier)

Stats for Preds.
Championships -0
Got to the championship ONLY because Guelph varsity folded and the team was already made for lions so HAD to go to preds last year. Also got blown out in the final game.
-13 players Sports (and a few of them played lions 11,12 then preds 12+)
- 0 rookies of the year.

So feelings aside, never mind who kids "like" to play for because kids sitting on the bench and their parents will always hate the coach. They rarely look at why their not playing.
Also development leagues in Cambridge are better coaches as well. Jv and Bantam have quality coaches where preds struggle at the younger ages. Lets look at stats and facts not opinions.
