Abe and Scarlett/Central meet each other in the final game of the season. There is a very good chance that this game will determine who finishes first and gets the easier playoff route. Abe's starting QB got knocked out and left Shouldice immediately though, so Abe may be in tough.

uh oh don't bring up div 2. Here comes an army of southern div 1 schools coaches to trash EP on a forum because they know that extra competition is bad for them.
Cent/WW/BOB lead the way in your personal attacks
Having coached for two midget teams in the south I have always had respect for EP, they are one of the few teams that knows how to actually coach up players. People don't realize how tough it is to take raw athletes and turn them into actually decent football players. EPs guys always suck in grade 10 and in gr 11 many start over div 1 players.
Unfortunately for EP the school is situated in possibly the worst area being surrounded by a couple of the largest scumbag schools. Also unfortunate for EP their HC have some ?self respect??? and wouldn't stoop down the levels of the other schools to recruit.
EP will enjoy their couple of years of success and all will be back to normal in a few years.

"RUHOHHHHHHHHHH" is wrong, not all figured
This was posted to give them credit and some folks played at Scarlett back in the day. They won Division 1 Cities 3 times and were full of talented players. What they do need is a top notch coach in there to bring the program back to a higher level. Would a player rather wear Scarlett, Silver and Black or ugly Maroon and black crap?
One upon a time Scarlett looked like Ohio State complete with little star stickers on the helmets for top performance from players (not buckeye stickers), these were given out at the first practice every game after coaches watched film. The harder a player worked the more stickers they got. Nowadays they would not do that because it would hurt someone's feelings. Central uniforms are pretty ugly, those colours don't go together at all. The united team needs to get a standard uniform. Wise Wood is never winning anything again because they lost too many students and same with the other south ones. The new schools won't be competitive for ten years if ever, no matter what they say.
Scarlett is a well maintained school with a great education reputation. If an old dump like Wise Wood who were once in the Div 2 basement came back (but not going anywhere in the future) a much better school like Scarlett can.
Get a Head Coach who will "stoop" just a little bit. You need to make the effort.

" get a headcoach that has no problem with being a pos"
This is the road into div 1 these days. You have to be a piece of garbage.

Nah, it can be done in an upfront way just like they do in the North cough, cough, cough there are just 3 Bantam teams South of Glenmore Trail: Colts, Bulldogs and Stamps and that is it. About 60 players graduate Bantam per year from all those teams combined = 60 players only...BIG PROBLEM These players will now be split between the SEVEN High Schools South of Glenmore Trail: Cent, O'Byrne, Grandin, WW, Beaverbrook, All Sts and Schuberts = 7 High Schools Scarlett Central can get players from North of Glenmore Trail from Wildcats Bantam because of the location of Central Memorial High School, so there might be an advantage there to be used Plus you had better be very good at attracting good athletes from other sports and teaching them to play football which Scarlett is because you are not getting a lot of players who have played before see just helped y'all even more

correction: 60 Bantam players graduate from 3 South Bantam clubs per year (and not all of them good) and those players will be split between 8 high schools south of Glenmore Trail including EPS...

Years ago when the bulldogs needed a new home they approached Scarlett and the principal said no. If they said yes definitely bulldog players would have warmed up to the school

Principals have zero say on who can use their fields after 6PM. It becomes a city field and to get a city field you have to book through the city.
EP has allowed multiple midget teams to use their gym/film room.

Top of Div 2 is not far from Div 1, it is a leap though you can see it from there, Scarlett fooled around with being a soccer school for a while but that fizzled, players get attracted by successful teams and there are actually parents in the city who are smart enough to know what would be the better level for their player Some High Schools seem to hate having parents involved in any way with the football team as volunteers for various duties, that is a poor way to go HS teams like Club teams need to have their Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and player action photos posted (football action not teenagers & players on the sideline mugging for the camera) and all of the bells & whistles, players like swag and nice logos on their helmets & all that
that is what a smart Head Coach does to make sure there is age group awareness out there

Churchill won. 17-14. I think Scarlett had lost some of their main offensive guys early in the first half.
Big game Thursday between Abe and Scarlett. Winner gets much easier path to final. Loser needs to beat Churchill, Div 1 team that drops into Div 2, and then gets to likely meet the winner of this game in the final. Much tougher road than playing 7th place, 4th place.
Abe is missing their QB. Not sure if the Scarlett guys are going to be back.
Thursday at 6:30. Will be a more exciting game than almost every Div 1 game this year.

There were 3 games in Division 1 this 2018 season which were close enough to be even remotely called exciting. The rest were not close.
3 games that were competitive, pathetic job by everyone involved in CSHSAA.

insult minded trolls will be what they are...they add nothing & make themselves look bad
only one opinion but Crescent likely to drop to Div 2 after they play Manning though it could be a tight game, CH have some decent players but get too many penalties & have trouble ever stringing a drive together, OC has issues with play calling no guarantee they will win anything in Div 2, if Manning dropped they have a speedy RB that can cause problems, neither team will hurt you consistently at QB
there are players in Div 2 who could play in Div 1 and there are players in Div 1 who should probably play in Div 2, but the players in Div 2 that win may be having more fun
looks like lots of teams have a shot in Div 2

Ever wonder why you feel so threatened by the possibility that there might be decent football somewhere other than in Div 1? Why are you so irritated that there are good reasons for football players to not choose a Div 1 school?
You really shouldn't take yourself so seriously.

This is the problem with Calgarys football culture. div 1 coaches get pissed that other teams that they won't play are doing well.
Why would they be pissed? Well we wouldn't want some ep nobody school getting in the way of our recruiting.
Imagine for a second, if you as a coach feel threatened by a team that was in div 3 the last 5 years then you have some serious issues.
Div 3 coaches have something that almost no Div 1 coaches have, having to actually coach up players instead of relying on talent.

anyone who goes on a board thread to specifically insult a group of people or players without any sort of intelligence or reasonable point of view attached to justify it obviously has too much time on their hands or is bored to distraction or is just a troll (see bored to death)

coaches are supposed to coach, not collect all-star players like collector cards and put them in the proper order, that's delusion not coaching
