In minor sport recruiting is just plain wrong. There is no way to argue that, period. This is only high school football and even the "big" stars in Calgary will never make a living at football, and if they don't have good grades in school they will be nothing in life. I can't believe how much importance you all put on a sport that children play...... it is ridiculous. Having said that, the push to eliminate recruiting is not going away, you're a fool if you think it is.

It will be funny when the browns and pride only have areas that are aged out, most of the development in Calgary is happening in the south. More kids = more players. Then watch the whining and bitching about boundaries. If won't compete on even terms it means you are scared to compete fairly.

Then explain Bantam aaa hockey,  billet player, players playing not just for another team but different town even different province

Hockey must be the devil!

Or maybe.....they got er right!

Oh I forgot DOUBLE PERIOD ( all caps)

Btw
Most hockey players never make money at it as well

Comparing Hockey to football in Calgary is apples to oranges. Hockey is a club sport and football is high school. That is the difference. If you can't understand why it is different I cannot help you...... maybe try reading more and talking less.

Why no snappy reply to my comment about the Browns and Pride aging out in 5-10 years? Is it because you know it will happen and don't want to admit it? hahaha

"I remember this the pitch was. We have the best two players in the city. You will play Senior right away and win a Sr championship as a grade 10, play all the time and the teams shoulders will not be on you. We will win every game. As far as religion, go to class we are not here to convert you. Treat it as a way to learn other religions. No you do not need to enter any church, don’t even stand if you like"

BOB must have ripped that pitch out of the Browns playbook....

What’s really sad. Bob and Cent have infiltrated the Bulldogs and have coaches from Atom to Midget and some are coaching their sons. So hence the uptick on all the Bantam, midget complaining.

They don’t do anything wrong it is everyone else comments will really ramp up since their sons are moving up in age. Heaven help when they go to HS!

Bob and Cent now corrupting youth football! 2 face schools. Btw stop talking to the kids in “private” everyone eventually hears what you said after practice!

We are ALL watching you “Grown” adults. Cough cough wink wink

ANY team that cheats or recruits is at fault. I don't care if they are from the South or the North. Really, how low do you have to be to cheat at children's sport. Because that's what this is......... children playing a sport, no more, no less.

Some teams seem to think because other do it, its okay, its not. It is low and lacking class. If you have to cheat to win you are a loser, even while wearing brown, gold, green, purple or any other color.

But in the end, this is just high school football and for most it will be a distant memory in 5 years..... those that live for it in 5 years I feel pity for. Get a life.

I thought your post was perfect. I am neutral not for or against any Div 1 school. Go lords.

I was hoping your post would end the topic. But I knew there was no way. Internally I knew a bob or Cent would have to post and attack again

Sure enough a bob Cent went back on the STF attack

Bob Cent you guys just can’t STOP. No wonder no one wants to go there and all are being recruited somewhere else. Bitch and complain you do best. Should have another trophy for that skill both can share it each year. Maybe a dog squatting to poo statue! Hell we even have some of your defectors going to our school. They have had enough of your secret meetings regarding recruiting

People think that recruiting will end because there's more focus on it.

People think that recruiting will end because coaches will eventually slip up and make a mistake.

Lets make one thing clear.

NO IT WONT.

The guy that runs Calgary Football got caught recruiting in the past, he still runs football.

Cents headcoach got caught recruiting red handed, HE WAS GIVEN A 1 GAME SUSPENSION.

Wisewood coaches literally had players sleeping in their basement and they din't get caught for years.

Think about it for a second, if the punishment for BLATANTLY recruiting is a 1 game suspension then why in the world wouldn't you recruit? I really mean that, you risk a 1 game suspension so that you could possible recruit a great athlete who will make an impact on your team FOR THREE YEARS.

I'm sold, ill miss out our first game, why would I care, its the worse game of the season.

Lets get another thing clear, these super teams are about to ruin it for everyone. Eventually some scandal will break out, the news will get involved and start asking why wisewood had players in coaches basements- and you know what- the CBE is not going to bother defending us, they aren't going to waste time defending football, they're just going to get rid of it and call it a day- probably for bonus coverage with all the concussion issues happening.

The clocks already ticking on football, the ENTIRE youth football scene in Calgary is beyond pathetic. From Atom to high school the entire thing is a corrupt mess ruined by selfish adults. These adults obviously lack something in life because theyre egos can't handle losing so they have to cheat and ruin it for the kids just for a little glory.

Football is dying and no one in Calgary seems to care, we're behaving worse than 10 years ago.

Want to know why Div 1 teams aren't doing anything about recruiting? Because they all do it and they're scared that if coach tells his players to call out schools attempting to recruit theyll fire back with accusations of their own.

Lets do our own accusation for fun! Here live!

What kind of sick adult that runs the "friends of Henry wisewood football" instagram account thinks its okay to follow teenagers INCLUDING 15 YEAR OLDS WHO AREN'T IN HIGH SCHOOL YET (hint hint, get the hint?Huh?) The account supposedly run by the head coach regularly follows U16/U15 players players. Nasty person following teens on social media because theyre a creep? Or is it to get them to come to your page and induce them a little bit?

You might say "Well anyone can just follow their instagram"- Nope, They're instagram is closed to the public, so the worms at WW coaching start following U16 players to get those guys to follow back. They show interest towards certain players by personally following their page.

disgusting adults hanging around youth like this. they have no shame about it.

Here we go another deflection by the BOb Cent old men of the world. Too much heat on us, solution go after WW. Going after Francis is too hot of a topic.

We all see through your tactics now. Stay on the offensive. Attack WW then ND then WW then STF then WW. Always saying we are clean, do nothing wrong come be a saint or just an upstanding citizen.

Probably the most corrupt, sneaky, sleazy conniving HS are BOb and Cent. In a lot of way its BOB

I agree you guys do not know when to quit. No wonder students do not want to be coached by adults more immature then them

Ha ha so funny. Sounds like bob Cent are the Salisbury of Calgary.

They think if they point the finger at everyone else. And cry all the time. Some miracle will happen and the school board will suspend all the other teams and give them a city championship. Lol

Like we told Sal. Shut up. We have mud on you and if you keep slinging mud some will stick on you. To give the other schools advice...Sounds like there are some old text and voicemails around. Also get your kids to write letters to the football board about these guys. If we are all going down you are going to take the first bullet.

These guys made there own trophy and the reg season winner gets to hold that pretend trophy and run around the field. Wow. Take about loooooser ville. Lol

ONLY point that matters is St Francis openly ADMITS they have been cheating for 40 plus years, rest of this is some scattered weak pussy pushback lacking credibility, except for something that once happened 7 years ago, or with one guy or some bitter parents whose kid now works for minimum wage because the kid did not want to put the work in anyway, QB's who can't play, overrated Bantams, wastes of time
guys who got signed to Universities but could not get in or stay there because of their grades, guys who vape before practice
WW is the amateur Francis wanna-be's who were sending little Bantam kids to talk to the "kid is all over youtube daddy" who is going to point you in what turned out to be the WRONG directions, come to the "Champions" who don't win anything open house, we just lose
we bug you on Social Media, Instagram, Facebook, out little website, selling cheap maroon crap at football games to show spirit
the High Schools will be trying to dump football off on the clubs once Division 3 dies & teams keep merging High Schools
then they will try to bend & break rules with Club Football that has replaced HS FB which is not the same because coach is a used car salesman
St Francis don't care because when they are the last ones left they will play with themselves Undecided, which is what they are best at anyway

Only point proven
BOB and Cent keep insulting and complaining
On and on and on and on

Saying it again and again does not make you correct. And I also see why all Boys who naturally do not want to be talked down to by old men and told what is right now prefer to stay away from your schools. It’s like having a grumpy old man with you all day and then after school for another 2 hrs!

The more you guys preach the more 15 yr old boys say screw that lets go play ball somewhere else!

Careful Cent and bob

Cent your HC was already suspended. A light slap as far as I’m concerned considering he has been recruiting hard the last few years. Trying to get players from what should be Scarlett and beaverbrook territory. Even okotoks! Two coaches chasing after players starting in Atom to PeeWee to Midget. One coach trying to party with grade 10s. Fkn weirdo

Bob your HC has told these so called wondering zombie 15 yr olds he can arrange meeting with Ohio state HC Urban Meyer, offered football tickets, offered to meet their own great matt Walter, take your kid to the grey cup now that really bothered us all. A grown man taking
Young kids out of town! Texting young boys. Visits to their house late at night after Bantam practice. Fkn weirdo. Did you not have a coach be accused of something a few years ago! Wayyy too disgusting to even talk about

U guys really need to let this thread end.

Vietnam The Battle of Ban Me Thuot

The Battle of Ban Me Thuot takes place during the Vietnam War, as North Vietnam begins its final push to end the war and capture the South.

The battle of Ban Me Thuot between South Vietnam and North Vietnam ends on March 10th of 1975. North Vietnam began enacting a campaign to take the city of Ban Me Thuot earlier in the year in an effort to destabilize South Vietnam. On March 4th, North Vietnam launched its offensive against the city despite a cease fire having been agreed upon two years earlier. Ban Me Thuot quickly fell and it became clear that South Vietnam would have difficulty defending itself against the North in further attacks. By the end of the next month South Vietnam surrendered to North Vietnam, ending the state of war between the two that had existed since 1955.

The Vietnam War ends

The Vietnam War ends as Communist forces take Saigon and South Vietnam surrenders unconditionally.

The War in Vietnam comes to an end at the end of April in 1975 as a series of events leads to the fall of Saigon. During the previous month the North Vietnamese Army began an aggressive campaign against South Vietnam and by the end of April, North Vietnam took Saigon. After realizing that it would be impossible to defend the South against North Vietnam, the South Vietnamese president resigned and South Vietnam surrendered unconditionally to the North. The United States’ involvement in the war ended on the last day in April of 1975 after about twenty years as the last American military members escaped in helicopters taking off from the U.S. Embassy in Saigon.

 1975 Back In Time Gifts

Sony introduces Betamax videotapes and Matsushita / JVC introduce VHS.

During May of 1975, electronics manufacturer Sony released their Betamax video cassette recording system for sale in Japan. The system originally retailed for several thousand dollars and not long after the release other companies began selling their own systems using a different format, the VHS (Video Home System). Sony’s Betamax was somewhat popular throughout the late 1970’s but by the mid-1980’s VHS had won the so-called “Videotape Format War.” Betamax quickly faded into obscurity, effectively becoming obsolete in 1988 when Sony began to manufacture their own VHS systems. Despite relatively little demand for the Betamax format after the late 1980s, Sony continued to sell Betamax recording systems until 2002.

Spanish Dictator Franco Dies.

General Francisco Franco, the dictatorial leader of Spain, died at the age of 82 in November of 1975. Franco had taken power as Spain’s head of state in 1939 after his Nationalist forces defeated the Republic during the Spanish Civil War. Franco’s early regime was characterized by harsh political oppression but as he aged more progressive ideas and reforms were allowed. During World War II he aligned Spain with the Axis powers but managed to keep his country only minimally involved in the conflict. After his death the monarchy was restored and King Juan Carlos took power as per Franco’s instructions. Democracy was established soon after his death.

Later that month, a surveillance camera took a photo of her participating in an armed robbery of a San Francisco bank, making her a wanted criminal by the FBI. Following Hearst’s capture by the FBI, she went on trial for her crimes and was found guilty and sentenced to seven years in prison. She served two years and had her sentence commuted, she was later pardoned by President Clinton.

NASA launches the first joint United States and Soviet Union space flight during July. The mission objective was to dock a U.S. Apollo module with a Soviet Soyuz 19. This was the final space flight of an Apollo module, a program that had ended in 1972. The two spacecraft launched on the same day, the Soyuz mission returned to Earth after almost 6 days in space and the Apollo mission returned to Earth after about 9 days in space. The docking was considered successful and the two crews performed several experiments together. It was considered a successful mission and symbolized a softening of the relationship between the United States and Soviet Union at that particular moment in time.

My son and his best friend was recruited hard by Cent and bob. Both were comparing notes and exchanged their experience for months until both declared where they wanted to go in February. Turns out one went to bob and one went to Cent. As soon as both politely told the other coach they decided to go to the other school. The other coach would not shake their hand, acknowledge them, maybe coincidence but the specific attacks toward them online increased.  Hmmm.

Of course I am partial to my sons school but I also wonder if he would be shunned by the same coach if he went to the same school as his best friend.

I take these coaches smiles with a grain of salt. Bob Cent Coaches are no different. Wolves in sheep clothes
