THE CURRENT ALTERNATIVE OF LEAVING EVERYTHING THE SAME

WILL RESULT IN ANOTHER 10-20 YEARS OF THE NORTH WINNING 80-90% OF THE CITY CHAMPIONSHIPS

BUT...SCHOOLS WILL DROP OUT OF DIVISION 1 AS INTEREST IN FOOTBALL DECLINES

HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL WILL BE DEAD INSIDE OF THAT 20 YEARS, KILLED BY IMMATURE ADULTS

all three South Div 1 High Schools have now lost students and players for the present and in the future to the new Public & Catholic High Schools built in the South as of the end of June
This is going to further throw out the balance and talent

How is it then when students/players are being FORCED by the Public and Catholic School Boards to go to these new South High Schools that good old St Francis Browns can just bring in ANY RECRUITED students from both Public and Catholic Board Junior High schools that are not even feeder schools and have no real reason to go there other than as recruited football players?

Talk about whacked out double standards

BOB isn't even having a junior team next year. Their program is done. They have a QB who throws to the same player every time and one big DL.  The rest of their team sucks really badly.  BOB will win two games this fall and after this season they'll never have football again.

The CSHSAA website has a junior team in the schedule for next year.

Which is more likely:
a) You don't have a clue
b) CSHSAA is wrong.

Interesting though that juniors will all be in one division next year: Div 1/2/3 with two pools: Pool A and Pool B. They all get seven games as the regular season consists of a game against everyone in their pool.
I like it.

Pool A:
Bishop Grandin
MCLA
Centennial
Crescent Heights
Ernest Manning
Forest Lawn
St. Francis
Western Canada

Pool B:
Bishop O'Byrne
Scarlett Central
Henry Wise Wood
Diefenbaker Fowler
Notre Dame
Churchill Bowness
St Marys
William Aberhart

Thanks. QB found God
Mind you I’m pretty sure that the WR’s Allah would not approve but it is football. For three years players some players see the light

NO ONE IS BEATING ST FRANCIS YOU STUPID PUNKS - YOU ARE TOO DUMB TO GET IT AND THE COACHES IN THIS CITY LIE THEIR HEADS OFF ABOUT THE CHANCES OF BEATING THEM - WHY DON'T YOU ASK THEM TO GIVE AN HONEST ANSWER

Designate a Division 1 Football High Cchool in EACH OF 5 regions of the city that will focus on Football if you don't want to merge schools, flip a coin who gets it. There are designated Hockey schools in Calgary. Better football for Calgary.

5 regions - 4 games per year per opponent, play them twice

A 1 week spring camp for Grade 9's would select those who should transfer to the designated Football school.

North

South

East

West

Central

That will balance things better.

The dumbasses in Calgary Football do not understand.

Bev Facey in Edmonton won Edmonton Cities in 2015 and 2016 and played in Provincials. They had dropped their junior team, so even it that happens they have a strong team as will teams in Calgary that do it.

As it stands now there are 23 Senior teams (including combined teams, which adds 4 more schools for 27 total) and 16 Junior teams.

That means almost HALF the High Schools in Calgary DO NOT HAVE JUNIOR TEAMS.

Junior football teams like football itself are dying. The sport OF FOOTBALL is dying and this St Francis Bullshit is killing it.

Someone must be frigging blind and unable to read - there are 2 new high schools in South Calgary. Go do the math.

Noooope what is killing football is the lack of recruiting skills from the rest. At least ND and WW try their best.

BOB and Cent try but are brutal at recruiting

EM and Cres don’t know where to start.

Learn from Francis. Lock yourself in at least 2 Bantam teams, work on the basics in Bantam. = Provincial champs

"Noooooopeh" is an not up on his current news. A typical Cowboys/Francis tool. Your uninformed comments are self centered and self serving. As usual by the same old, same old.

You have NO IDEA WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT.  By fluke with growing population and ILLEGALLY recruiting to Francis you spew out nonsense that does not apply everywhere.

What an uninformed comment, Cowboys don't even have 2 Bantam teams anymore did you miss the memo?

The Bantam League will not be allowing any club to have 2 Bantam teams ever again after the heat they took. People from asia which is most of the in migration rarely play football they play soccer, same with latino kids - soccer. china kids don't play anything, they study.

On a Bantam team of 35 players there is maybe 10 talented players. 10 would be on the high side.

Then for 2 different Bantam teams there would be 20 players with talent. Split 5 ways by high schools. 4 to each high school maybe. Some Bantam teams have not been doing much of anything in Divison 1 for several years now, so talent is limited.

this Junior Varsity League will keep losing teams

there is a bad mix of top teams in with Division 3 schools who can barley field a team, the end result will be the teams that get smoked 60-0 will drop Juniorl, look for fewer Junior Varsity football teams next year.  Bishop Carroll has not had a Junior team in years

Pool A:
Bishop Grandin
MCLA
Centennial
Crescent Heights
Ernest Manning
Forest Lawn
St. Francis
Western Canada

Pool B:
Bishop O'Byrne
Scarlett Central
Henry Wise Wood

the reality of who plays football numbnuts, soccer is the HIGHEST NUMBERS participation sport in Calgary by far with hundreds of teams and male youth players up to 19 years old then Men's Leagues - they are from those parts of the world that play soccer,
WHICH BY PROCESS OF ELIMINATION they DO NOT PLAY TACKLE FOOTBALL except in the rare exception cases
some players also play hockey all year round, same difference, the little football world is small - very small based on 1.3 million ppl
so shove your uneducated comments where you keep your dishonest lack of Sportsmanship, up your proverbial *ss

the illiterate returns to the board, big Buffoon wants to be violent, with SOME EXCEPTIONS they do not as a rule play football
there are cultures put a priority on studying and music over sports, that is fact, go do some research, they value their kids getting into higher education over sport they don't fully understand, go to any university 3 weeks before classes start in the fall and you will see them studying in groups to get ahead of the semester when no one else is there - fact
the sports participation numbers for certain cultures are lower, this is fact for a whole host of reasons as they are uncomfortable with sports they have no knowledge of - the govt even pays to try to get them out hiking & camping because they have fear of it
tough guy, get out and watch different high level sports and you will see who is involved in those sports
calling names when the facts are everywhere, go bear hunting hero

speaking of bears, a lot of immigrants have a fear of the wilderness & hiking & fishing, want to fight about it? go fight with the Toronto Star

https://www.thestar.com/news/immigration/2015/05/24/camping-class-gently-introduces-immigrants-to-ontario-wilderness.html

Argue with the facts in the Globe and Mail on the miserable Sport Participation rates and New Canadians

https://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/national/canadas-parks-attract-a-new-generation-immigrants/article25419605/

"This is the era of nature-deficit disorder. No wonder the title of ParticipAction's 2015 report is "The Biggest Risk is Keeping Kids Indoors." Canadian kids today, they say, get a D-minus when it comes to overall physical activity. In the critical five- to 11-year-old age group, only 7 per cent are getting the recommended 60 minutes of moderate-to-vigorous daily activity.
As for 12- to 17-year-olds, it's even worse: a pitiful 5 per cent."

"New Canadians have been slow to embrace camping and canoe tripping and, given all the demographic projections, it is here where most population growth and opportunity will be found. If the country's parks wish to maintain usage levels or, even better, expand them, it will be in attracting first- and second-generation Canadians. Their children might be more interested in playing Pokemon than catching frogs."

Most of all be quiet when you have no idea of what you are spewing off about.

270 Bantam Players

Reply with quoteQuote

wherever they are from by god there are only a limited number of football players out of Bantam that could be recruited if if that was some sort of solution which it is not, teachers as coaches can get in hot water for it, they know the rules but some have no ethics, not new

8 Bantam teams in Calgary - Say 10 very good players per Bantam team, 10 better than average, 10 average and 5 below average
= 35 players per team = 270 players
Divide by 27 High Schools = 10 per High School, 3 very good, 3 slightly better than average, 3 average and 1 below average

But what if 1 High School like St Francis recruits 10-12 real good ones and 10-12 better than average, the numbers don't work for any sort of level competitive playing field at all

Where do the rest of the High School teams find their players? Players who never played football before Grade 10

This is where things are at
