9.9 out of 10 Calgary Youth Football observers think the Cowboys will win Sr Div 1 High School...why would that be?

whoops, sorry, that's supposed to be St Francis Browns, so many of the same people involved with both teams it gets confusing
especially when you hear Browns parents at their games talking about Cowboys Sr Coaches names with each other about St F

The Bantam league is allegedly (we don't know because the information isn't posted) made up of 80% coaches from the north and of that 80% more than half have strong connections to StFrancis.

Football is Calgary is completely rigged to ensure the victory of a single team.

Any attempts to change Cowboy/Francis domination is outvoted by the cowboys.. uh oups i mean the Bantam board. After too much complaining happens the board will "let them eat cake" and will give a small piece of the NW pie to some other team.

Last year the league said "well the Cowboys transferred the most territory in the league away, they lost nose hill park."

NOSE HILL PARK.

POPULATION 0.

That was the big change. It was such an FU to all the teams in the league, it truly is disgusting when you think about what the Bantam league does. At some point some shame has to come in right? To ruin YOUTH FOOTBALL to satisfy old mens egos.

Whoops ranted in the wrong thread.

It seems like the Old and getting really old boys who run the CBFA/CAMFA/CSFA Boards of Directors and never give out any information have their private little enterprise running the way they like it and make joke changes when pressure applied.
The current "excuse" from these guys who created 2 teams for Cowboys in the first place seems to be that someone has to "submit a finely detailed proposal to replace one Cowboys team with another newly formed club and be prepared to do all the work to start it up", and right along those lines. The guys who thought that 2 teams i club would work now want someone to do that or it stays the same???

Talk about Passive Aggressive behaviour.

How about Board of Directors that CREATED the problem originally FIX IT. Under what substance influence was this considered a good idea?
Don't forget all the High School infiltration too, Cowboys CBFA guys probably give "advice" to the CSHSAA. Paid advice.
Why is it that St Francis now gets a game at McMahon every year even when Notre Dame is not that good & there is no real rivalry.
One team is treated special where everyone clamors for "fairness" and "equal rights" and these guys great treated special.
Hellard is fine for them. Sell the 2100 seats and when the tickets are gone too bad. There should be no special treatment.
This McMahon special event BS is an insult to all of the other High Schools, especially in Div 1.

Francis nd game at McMahon again. Nd was not that good last year probably worse this year.

How do they get McMahon when no one knows if they are going to be #1 and 2

What does this say to the other teams! How do they get special treatment. Talk about a bias board. Who is paying for this extra fee

Why is there not an uproar from other teams/coaches. Did they all just roll over and die

Enough is enough. We are all tired of the cheating

The Calgary School Boards are so dumb they don't know that the singling out of 2 teams only for a "Big Event" at McMahon that other teams do not get at McMahon Stadium helps both St Francis and Notre Dame RECRUIT players because they can tell them they get extra special treatment every year. This takes a "special" kind of ignorance of what they are doing with this by the CSHSAA.

be interesting to know who is paying for this (now yearly but not announced) "Northern Catholic High School McMahon Bowl Classic" not only stadium rental, but security, police, labour & clean up. By the way why is a school board football league even involved in this sort of thing?
So when teams have to play at Manning's football field with the cheapest artificial turf on earth is this the "Unspecial Sucker Bowl?"
Francis had Sr HS figured out for decades on how to get things their way, then with that experience some of them used the knowledge that you need a "built in advantage" to make sure the Cowboys were set up their way with 2 Bantam teams (genius). Now they have managed to work in a game that other High Schools do not get to attract more top level recruits to play for them in their old neighbourhood.
It never stops, they are always looking for new ways to exploit the system and they get away with it.
The CSHSAA could have just said "Stay at Shouldice like all of the other teams". Did not happen.

Admin at each school requested the game be moved to McMahon years ago because of the crowd and the ease of controlling security at McMahon vs Shouldice. Admission is charged for this game to cover all the costs associated with rental and use of McMahon. Fact is neither team enjoys this game at McMahon, it was forced on them by administration. It’s always at an odd time or day because of McMahon availability.

Sell tickets to Shouldice, when it sells out too bad, Shouldice is fully completed with lighting & everything now so that does not wash
there is always an excuse to cover everything, no one signs anything, nothing sent by email, never admit anything, deny, deny, deny

"Ease of controlling security"

Its a high school game, not the NFL. There are no events that have taken place that show that these two teams need "extra security".

"Neither team enjoys this game at McMahon" - right, neither St Francis nor Notre Dame enjoys the hype that precedes this game
they don't play it up at their schools and with each other and use it as a recruiting tool as something no one else gets
And neither St Francis nor Notre Dame get their buddies on the Football Alberta website to hype it up as the "biggest game of the year in Calgary" and all of the yipe hype they were pumping out last year and the year before right on a Provincial football website
Right
Schemers from the North think everyone in the rest of the city is as dumb as a post and believe all of your constant total BS
Be clear - that is not the case, everyone with eyes sees through these constant machinations and who is running things behind the scenes

Rumblings that Wise Wood, Centennial & O'Byrne were looking at combining all 3 Senior teams together to get a Super Team Div 1 Sr football team on the same level playing field as teams from the North now that players are being forced from these 3 schools into the 2 new south high schools since no one in CSHSAA does anything about St Francis? It is no different from the Div 2 & 3 teams combining schools, but in this case will create a South Div 1 juggernaut that will not only win Calgary Div 1 cities but Provincials too.

that there could be the idea of a High School football team drawing players from three Spring/Midget League teams? why that is crazy talk
but wait, St Francis does that every season, so there is that precedent

Sounds like ND has lost some players and that HA will be strong again. I would predict a close game with Ainlay winning 17-10.

It's a pre-season game, absolutely everyone plays in pre-season games, the score is irrelevant, the offenses are not near season ready

don't you know this?
