York and U of T come to immediate mind.

Both teams have had more turnover at OC and DC over the past 5 years than any other team in the country.

His behavior is horrible, he yells and screams and he loses. He should run for premier. Come on people of Ontario quit letting people rig the system. By the way ask how he behaves when he takes youths to the US in Dallas.

By the way since when has anyone in football wanted to emulate York U and U of T's record. In fact didn't Yorks head coach win at the Worlds last year? I think that makes twice in the last few years. Glenn is 0 and 5

is this the logic you were hoping for?

Look at actual number
2013  Bronze
2014  Gold
2015  Silver    lost very close game to quebec
2016 Bronze    lost to sask by 2 points
2017 Bronze    lost to sask by 1 point who lost to Quebec last play of game.

5 medals in 5 years. Now the numbers from the teams who have made team canada and who have also went to CIS. Those are numbers that are very important.

Are you actually trying to pass off a Bronze for Team Ontario as a success?  Team Ontario draws from at least double the population of all their opponents...usually over 7x the population base of their competition.

Anything short of a Gold or Silver from Team O at this event is considered a major disappointment.

With Canada Cup here....time to revive this thread.

Taking bets that Team O under Mills again under achieves and team gets manhandled by smaller provinces with less access to players than Ontario.

Not only should Team Ontario win the Canada Cup every year, they should win every game by at least 35 points.  I am absolutely baffled at how poorly Team Ontario has performed at this event recently considering all of the advantages they have over their opponents....it really doesn't even make sense.

If Team O fails to win gold again this year (which should never happen), the OFA will make all kinds of social media posts praising themselves and their staff for doing such an amazing job....while the rest of us say WTF?!?!?

LOL!  These people are delusional!  Keep doing the same thing and expecting different results.  Do they not realize that Team Ontario losing at this event is among the greatest upsets in sports history?  And they are praising themselves?!?!?

My lasting memory of Mills is at a game 2 years ago in Cambridge where Essex got beaten by the Lions. Mills was upset after the game so he ordered the players to go directly to the dressing room at JAH, change and be on the bus in 5 minutes cause it was leaving. No time to talk to parents, scouts or shower just go.

Time Mills moves on and gives up coaching....oh, he has already done that as he really hasn't done any coaching in years.

Perhaps some unhappy parents, but in reading a few posts in this string, seems to be some real dislike for Mills.

If they claim he's not a good coach, hasn't he coaches at Essex and Team Ontario for years, and didn't he coach at Western last year?

Ontario usually has a few best U18 players each year. But Ontario does not have the best 24 team players per province.

My son played for Mills. A great coach who always had a few players that had no business playing football.  Our best played great but the last bad players should have been water boys.

Hard to win gold when your best 24 are usually the bottom team

Ontario youth teams and coaches need to do a better job training the 16 yr olds

Give Mills something to work with

Do not give me the excuse the best do not try out or the best got cut. The very best are playing. It is you crap players after who suck

I realize this sounds like a hater post but here are some facts:

Mills coached at Western 2 seasons ago and was fired after less than 1 year with the program

Team Ontario has drastically underachieved since Mills had been the head coach. Ontario has at least twice as many people as any other province yet I don't know if they've ever won Gold with mills as head coach....maybe once in like a decade?

Essex draws from more high school football programs than any other summer club team in the province and they have no other programs in their region competing for players. This is a huge advantage.  Even with this huge advantage Mills has only won 2 titles in 20 years.

It's easy to look like a decent coach when you're coaching the best of the best (eg Team Ontario, Essex, Western) but the reality is that Mills has underachieved with this elite talent.  The only time I've seen Mills coach a non-powehouse team was in high school...and his high teams were terrible! They never even made the playoffs.

Team O and their university coaches are continually out coached by other provinces high school coaches. Team O guys try to run a university style offence with high school players who don't understand it or can't make the quick adjustments necessary to be successful. The other provinces high school coaches supplemented sometimes by maybe 1 or 2 higher level coaches coach the high school kids like a high school team and create better team work as the players can understand the simple strategies, play with more confidence, be more aggressive, maximize their talents and therefore play better as a team.

And there it is...another parent saying there were players on Team O that don't deserve to be there...bet they can from or around Essex region.

Have said it before Mills and his gang pick players they are familiar with even at expense of a more skilled player from areas they are not familiar with.

Have witnessed this and again a third party is saying the same.

OFA will do nothing to address this unless there is a change at HC....#dumpmillsnow

The other successful teams are actually coached by university coaches. The main problem. Ontario players are not known for their football smarts. Not the smartest pencil in the box. Maybe blame the youth coaches for very simplistic schemes.

For example when gap responsibilities for o Lineman is very foreign for a 16 yr old. You might want to turn in your youth football whistles
