I think X and SMU win. X is solid and Bishops is not very strong. That will be a closer game though X will not win in a walk

Laval is not what they were but will win the game by two tds. Montreal is very tough and wins comfortably. No blow outs here that I see.

Don't think SMU has turned the corner but they have to be better than Bishops don't they?

I would like to see the over all trend of unexpected wins and shockers throughout the CIS to continue into this AUS crossover weekend.

Believe me, I'm an AUS supporter through and through but to suggest that X is solid by national standards is misleading. I've watched every AUS game so far this year and no team is solid. Granted, X is probably the most solid of a bunch of very mediocre programs right now. If anyone gets a win on the weekend it will be SMU, only because i think Bishops is ... well ... pretty brutal. Mounties are going to get scorched through the air. For offense, they'll have to rely on their running game with a few short passing plays mixed in. I don't see Acadia or MTA getting more than 10 first downs all day.

I think if you actually read the quoted post it states "if MtA D wakes up and O play calls improve" for that 38. I hope it works out and that you wear your dirty hat for that buffet diner.  Grin

To think that MTA, even if there offence warms up can score 38 points on Laval is ambitious at best. Lets be honest here, Laval smacked Stfx 64-0 there is no reason to think they will not do the same to MTA

Laval 50 MTA 9
STFX 24 CON 22
SMU 13 Bishops 17
Acadia 7 MON 48

I read your post. How does that change my post? This MTA team scoring 38 on Laval is ludicrous! C'mon, seriously! Mount A probably won't score 38 points against any team in the AUS this year, let alone one of the best teams in the country. Not trying to be abrasive, but you have to apply some common sense here. I'm a Mount A alum and it hurts me to admit this, but it's just the way it is.   Sad

You being a MtA alumni is very unlikely. MtA has some of the best fans and alumni in the AUS if not the country (note that I did NOT say "biggest" or "richest"). To be a Mountie fan or Alumni is to have Pride....Mountie Pride! Any true fan or alumni who has had the time to look closely at the players and the skills on this fresh new team will know that some amazing things are coming, and very soon. Once meshed this will be the best team in the AUS, and I truly believe that they will compete for and win a big cup over the next 5 years. It's hard to believe that they went from a consistent first or second place team in everyone's minds to now an afterthought going into only game 3. Once they establish and unleash some changes on offense, stop being so extreme conservative the number of Mountie fans will rise. Until then, have a great season everyone.
