Things are heating up in the AUS. Veteran players have been working hard off season and some rookies have joined in early, taking time and learning from those veterans. No official practices or camps doesn't mean no prepping for what looks to be a great season in the AUS. How is everyone's camps starting to shape up?

SMU camp looks like they've up sized the team this season...big time. Comparing men to boys vs last year. This may be the turn around year we've been waiting three years for.

agree smu will be different:

SMU shed about 25 players for lack of performance in the off season. 39 Recruits will be at camp, many quality transfers. As many as 10 more returning players could be shown the door next week.

It's only a wild guess what we'll see on the field vs Acadia next week but SMU's roster will likely be about 50% different from a year ago. That kind of change will take four or five games to come together at a minimum. meh..May fall to crap as well.

That is some drastic changes and moves for a team to make. I agree, if this works out it will likely show late in the season once everyone is firing on all cylinders. Or...it could not work out so well this season but instead form the foundation for a stellar season next year. Exciting and scary.

SMU really brought in a lot of players who were not capable of playing at the CIS level physically or mentally.  The beauty of the new regime is that he will do things his way & bring it back to a football program
