Will Knox be coaching this weekend?
Media need to ask more questions and report findings.  Someones gotta know something.
This is ridiculous.

How long has this gone on now.  You would think before this weeks game, they would give an update.  This isn't fair to the players.
Even if Mac doesn't give a final answer, at least address what is going on.

OCTOBER 12, 2018

McMaster is continuing  its review of an alleged incident involving head football coach Greg Knox and a game official. Ontario University Athletics first advised the University of concerns stemming from a game last month against Laurier.

Once McMaster received this information, it launched a separate review of the matter and placed the coach on administrative leave. The University review continues and until complete, the administrative leave remains in effect.

The OUA has also informed the University it is suspending Coach Knox for tomorrow’s game.

Assistants Tom Flaxman and Scott Brady will serve as  interim head coaches for this week’s game.

Wow, this does not sound good for Knox or team.
Not very happy about the way this was managed by the university eithet

One way is to word search the McMaster Daily News website under "Greg Knox" and click "date" instead of the default setting titled "relevance."

Alfano should have nothing to do with any administrative actions. The guy lacks all required competencies to fulfil the role. If Knox is going to be fired, fire him. Don’t go on some extended power trip and prolong the decision. Players are dissatisfied, the community is dissatisfied, he is making the entire program look like a joke. After all this time let’s look at the realistic possibilities.

1. Knox gets fired: at this point it seems that this is the most likely case. Either the situation is serious enough to warrant a month long investigation into a 1 minute altercation. Or the snowflake society has deemed it such that what minor, heated comments Knox made to a ref with less than thin skin, are fireable. In this case I feel that Alfano is drawing it out for as long as possible to try and reduce the impact on the players season. (Which demonstrates just how incompetent he is) Holding a mans life in limbo for a situation he can’t wrap his head around.

2. Knox stays but gets disciplined: Some sympathy training, maybe shock therapy in one of Mac’s safe rooms. (Sarcasm) it’s called professional development... Alfano in this situation would be personally f’d. 1. Fumbled the statement of facts, 2. Fumbled the Freedom of Expression situation with the shirts, 3. Showed his inadequacy by drawing it out and potentially jeopardizing the teams season, all the while not showing any progress... doing all that just to let the man work again does not seem too realistic if Alfano is trying to save face.

There are snakes in the grass McMaster...  it’s time to mow it. But none of the Knox variety, just those pesky Alfano ones.

I think you're giving Alfano way too much credit here......he's basically a staffer (i.e., lifer) holding operations together while a new AD gets hired.  He doesn't have the clout or responsibilities to run any investigation.....this is most likely being driven by some higher ups.  This isn't Knox's first brush with the "law" (zebras).....his public behaviour likely resembles his demeanour during the week in the office.  You can blame snowflakes all you want, but if you're not willing to play ball in the workplace, can't complain when you don't get renewed.

There is no excuse for this loss to Waterloo. Andreas Dueck does not have what it takes. Where is Jackson White? He led the team to more wins and had a great year last. Bench this quarterback. Holding onto the ball too long, throwing interceptions at critical points, poor awareness. Fix the worst offence is Ontario, benching him is the start.

Duek and White are both talented, but young.  The QB position needs to be experienced.  They have this in their 3rd string guy.  Putt needs to start vs Windsor.  Not only is he as skilled as the other two, but he has the experience and confidence to lead this team.  Oh, and what’s the deal with our HC, WTF is going on there??  The indecision by the University is adversely affecting the players.

Actually, Andreas Dueck has a great deal of talent, and has improved substantially this year. But he needs to allowed the freedom to run with the ball, just like Tre Ford. If you saw his one run up the middle vs. Waterloo, you see what I mean.

"Holding on to the ball too long" is usually because no one is open. Then run.

Enough is enough. Fire Knox and all his coordinators. Bad play calling cost the game. 2nd a 1s or 2's and they try and pass instead of running and getting the first down to keep the drive alive. Defence allowed Ford to stand there for 6 to 10 seconds on some pass plays and he picked them apart. Specials were a disaster allowing a fake punt run and then botching one of their own on a fake punt/pass from their own end with 7 minutes left and it was a 1 score game. No reason to gamble here. Pass never had a chance and Waterloo scored right after it to put game away. Very demoralizing. Time to clean house.

Been saying it all year Mac has been terrible for the last couple of years in the area of recruitment. Especially in recruiting local talent. Most of the local high school talent does not view Mac as a destination choice. Mac treats new recruits like your lucky to be considered. My son passed on them and is having a great year. He is treated with respect something he would never get at Mac. Mac is getting what they deserve.

Hello? They outplayed yah. Both sides and on specials. Your Qb is fine. Needs to run more and have an offence like Ford but you lost to the better team today pal. Stop selling out your Q. That's bush. Your Oline is weaker than past years but you're still gonna be 5-3.

Whichever side of the fence you stand with the change a couple of years ago - most would admit there is a great deal of irony in Waterloo with Behie getting the win today in his first game against McMaster... with Knox being suspended for the game.

One would think Waterloo has lots to sell recruits in beating both Mac and Laurier in the same year.

Waterloo does do a good job of recruiting. Their scouts were at most games in my area. They were always pleasant to talk to and were honest. They made players walk away away with positive feelings about the school. In contrast Mac was the worst school. Just the opposite of Waterloo. Rotten  arrogant attitudes that make you take that school of the list.

It is not the QB fault take a hard look at the O line and it's rushing yards, 75% what ever QB is in there can't set up or the O line isn't making any holes for the running game.
When was the last Mac O line and rushing was this poor. When somebody came in and changed the culture and chased away 97% of the coaches. Filled them with who, a person who wants to be like Western, online coach that doesn't understand football. Look what has happen in three years and how many have left. Continue the path of self destruction and becoming the joke of the league

Worse than it appears......take a look at their W's this season.  This team was 3 plays away from being just one game better than UofT.  Posters come on here and rip Ptaszek but he's had 3 vanier appearances, CIS rookies of the year and a Hec winner.  gonna take a while to put out this dumpster fire.

In this complete fairy-tale story, who would the DC be? You're saying that Coach Knox would be completely gone, and Coach Sardo would replace Coach Brady?

I see no reason in the world why Behie would even consider coming back to Mac; he's moved on and is doing just fine, thank you very much.

That leaves Forsyth and Loveday. No reason for them to return either.

And we don't even know anything yet about Coach Knox's future.

I'm an Alumnus, and this sounds like baloney to me.
